FELTED WOOL BOWLS

Sat., November 1, 2025 | 12-4 PM

Wet felting is an ancient & magical art form that utilizes fluffs of wool & water to create a dense fabric known as felt. In this workshop, Nanette will guide participants through the felting process to create colorful, one-of-a-kind, felted wool bowls. The wet-felting technique is easy, playful & produces surprising original designs. The felted bowls are delicately beautiful, make perfect vessels to keep small treasures & make great gifts. In this workshop, each participant will have the opportunity to create two bowls.

NOTE: Please bring 2-3 thick old bath towels & 2-4 small clean cotton rags for shaping the bowl.
OPTIONAL: Bring an apron & vinyl/latex gloves to help stay dry.

INSTRUCTOR: Nanette Zeller earned a master’s degree in wildlife biology from NC State University. She found her artistic voice in 2005 when she combined her skills to create nature-inspired mixed-media textile art. Heavily embellished with thread to create beautiful textures, her art has been displayed in both solo & group shows at local & national exhibits. Before starting her art quilting career, Nanette spent 10 years working as a free-lance technical editor for sewing & quilting book publishers. Learn more at www.NanetteSewz.com.
