About

I create abstract work in Acrylic and Mixed Media on canvas, board and paper. I call on my inner energy to make the work immediate and expressive. I use organic and orb shapes and free line work. I am influenced by light, mystery, atmosphere, depth and the wonder of God’s world. I start with an inkling of what I want to create, asking myself where I want the piece to go and how do I get there. I work in a series of different sizes and there is an interaction between the works that bring me into conversation with the paintings and listening to them as well. I thoroughly enjoy the journey I am on. It’s pure play right up to the finish. I am excited to find joy and freedom in the process itself. My paintings are 'happenings' that capture a moment in time. I have shown my work at Campbell House Galleries, Artist League of the Sandhills, online galleries and Greenhill Art Center in North Carolina.
