DONATE YOUR MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS TO REPLAY!
The Arts Council of Moore County and Kiwanis Club of the Sandhills is reviving a program called RePlay! Murphy Instrument Drive. The goal for the program is to collect new and used musical instruments and donate them to future Moore County Schools band and orchestra students free of charge.
If you have a trumpet, violin, clarinet, or other band or orchestra instrument collecting dust in silence in your attic, closet, basement, or garage, brush it off and give it a voice in the hands of a young musician.
Three ways to donate:
1. We will pick up your instruments on August 18 (between 9a-noon), if you call the Arts Council at 910-692-2787 by August 17 with your address and the type and size of instruments you wish to donate.
2. You can drop off your instruments at Arts Council’s offices & galleries (Campbell House, 482 E. Connecticut Avenue, Southern Pines) on August 18 (9a-noon) or any weekday (9a-5p).
3. You can give a financial donation to help defray the costs of instruments in need of repairs. Make checks payable to ACMC/RePlay and mail to the Arts Council at P.O. Box 405, Southern Pines, NC 28388, or drop off at Campbell House on August 18 (9a-noon) or any weekday (9a-5p).
If you can’t make a donation on August 18, RePlay! will continue accepting donations throughout the year. In addition to a tax deduction, you will be instrumental in the education of a Moore County student.
