Share the wonder of a live concert with your family! The Kaleidoscope Family Series is specifically designed to introduce children, ages 5 and up, to the life-long surprises and benefits of a live concert. Featuring the finest performing artists (musicians, actors, dancers, storytellers, etc.), each performance will be educational and entertaining. The concerts are approximately one hour and presented in the theater in the The O’Neal School’s Activity Center in Southern Pines (across Airport Road from Sandhills Community College). From London’s Royal Albert Hall to the mountains of Bolivia and across the USA, Philadelphia Brass has delighted critics and audiences with their artistry, performing the best brass music drawn from all styles and time periods. Since its inception in 1988, the group has performed hundreds of concerts on three continents, recorded four CDs, and commissioned pieces by David Diamond, Daniel Pinkham and Dick Hyman. Philadelphia Brass members are Brian Kuszyk and Larry Wright on trumpet, Anthony Cecere on French horn, Robert Gale on trombone, and Scott Mendoker on tuba.
