CARMEN by Opera Carolina
Sunday, March 14, 2010 - Belk Theater, Charlotte

As Georges Bizet's dramatic masterpiece, Carmen is a classic story of fatal attractions, combining powerful characterizations and a resoundingly rich, evocative score. This Opera Carolina production stars Denyce Graves as Carmen, Todd Geer as Don Jose, Kristopher Irmiter as Escamillo and Anne-Carolyn Bird as Micaela.

One's destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things. -- Henry Miller

WICKED
Thursday, April 22, 2010 - Durham Performing Arts Center

Don't miss this Tony-Award winning, Broadway blockbuster for its only North Carolina showing! Long before that girl from Kansas arrives in Munchkin land, two girls meet in the Land of Oz. One, born with emerald green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. How these two grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch makes for the most spellbinding musical in years.

Years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones
you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds
in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
-- Mark Twain
