What is the Arts Council of Moore County?

The Arts Council of Moore County (ACMC) is a not-for-profit organization celebrating over 38 years of promoting awareness and appreciation of the arts in Moore County, North Carolina. By offering quality arts programs to Moore County residents of all ages, ACMC fulfills its mission:

Support, Promote and Develop Arts and Arts Education Throughout Moore County

What does the Arts Council Do?

Since its incorporation in 1973, ACMC has “artfully” enhanced the quality of life in Moore County by offering a wide variety of programs in the performing, visual, and literary arts to all Moore County citizens. In addition to its own programs, ACMC is dedicated to encouraging and supporting other local artists and arts organizations throughout Moore County, such as Artist League of the Sandhills, Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities, Moore County Choral Society, Moore OnStage, Sunrise Theater, and many Moore County schools. ACMC provides assistance to these organizations through partnerships, grants, publicity, art exhibition space, ticket sales, and as an active arts advocate for Moore County and the Sandhills Area.
